FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs) // POLICIES:
- How long do READY TO SHIP PIECES take to ship?
- Ready to ship pieces are already made and are shipped out 1-7 business days after purchase.
- What is a ready to ship piece VS a made to order piece VS a custom?
- READY TO SHIP: A ready to ship piece is already cut, weaved, and ready to be shipped out to its new home. When purchasing ready to ship pieces, you will receive the piece in the listing that you purchase.
- MADE TO ORDER (MESSAGE ME ON INSTAGRAM): A made to order means you would like the same piece as shown in a ready to ship listing or any other listing, but in a different size / different accessory color. For example, if you want a black romper that I posted but it is not in your size, you can request a made to order of that romper in your size.
- Some pieces are one of one and will not be available as a made to order.
- CUSTOM (MESSAGE ME ON INSTAGRAM): A custom means you would like to change the braiding pattern, color of the base piece, positioning of the cuts. For example, if you like a black romper but you would like it in brown and with more coverage on the booty, you can request a custom of that romper in brown with more coverage on the booty.
- Some pieces are one of one and will not be available as a custom.
- How long will my MADE TO ORDER PIECE OR CUSTOM PIECE take to be made and shipped?
- My current wait time is approximately 4-7 weeks. This means that if you purchase today, the piece might be finished in 4 weeks and shipped out, or it can take 7 weeks to get it done and shipped out.
- My rule of thumb is to order AT LEAST 2 months before the date you need it in order to guarantee that it will come in time and to avoid priority / rush fees.
- Processing and shipping times depend on how many orders I have, my schedule, etc. I will always have my wait time updated in my instagram bio (@sunshine__vtg) and in my FAQ.
- Do you offer priority shipping?
- FOR MADE TO ORDER: There will be options to purchase priority shipping. If you need your piece done within 2 weeks ($50). Within 3 weeks ($40). Within 1 month ($30).
- This does not include the time to ship which can take up to 1 week for USA orders.
- FOR READY TO SHIP:
- Please add priority shipping to your cart at checkout. It will be $15 to ship priority which means it will arrive in 2-5 business days instead of 3-10 days. This also gauruntees that I will ship it out next day.
- How does payment work?
- I take full payment prior to starting on a made to order or custom piece. Please message me on instagram to start an order.
- Currently there are no payment plan options.
- If you only have Venmo or Zelle for payment method: please direct message me on instagram with a screenshot of what you would like to purchase and we can do payment over instagram.
- How much is shipping?
- Price includes shipping costs for all U.S. orders unless you need priority shipping. International shipping is NOT covered by me. Please direct message me on instagram @sunshine__vtg for international shipping.
- Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
- All orders are final sale. I do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges on any pieces. Please read the size chart and always feel free to message me on instagram with your measurements and a recent photo of yourself for sizing. I am happy to help with sizing!
- What happens if my package was lost, stolen, or damaged in the mail?
- I (Sunshine Vintage) am not responsible for nor liable for packages once they have been dropped off at the post office as it is now out of my hands. I am not responsible for nor liable for any lost, damaged, or stolen packages. If you feel that you have an extenuating circumstance, please direct message me on instagram @sunshine__vtg or email me at sunshinevintagebiz@gmail.com with your order details for further evaluation and discussion.
- If your package says "delivered in mailbox" or "left at person's door" and you cannot find your package, make sure it is not at any mailing room in your apartment, also try calling and actually go to your local post office in your city to make sure they did not hold it there for any reason or put it in a delivery locker (they sometimes do this if they cannot find or access your address).
- What happens if my package was returned to the sender due to incorrect address, inadequate address, forgetting to put an apartment number, etc?
- If your tracking number ever states that your package was returned to the sender for any reason, please please direct message me on instagram @sunshine__vtg or email me at sunshinevintagebiz@gmail.com with your order details.
- It is your responsibility to check the tracking number to see where your package is. If you see that the tracking says it was "Returned to Sender", then you are responsible for messaging me and letting me know that you need to purchase another shipping label.
- You will be responsible for purchasing a new shipping label so that I can send the package back to you.
- PLEASE make sure you include any apartment numbers, building numbers, suite numbers, floor numbers, unit numbers, etc. to ensure that the employees at the post office can take it to the proper place instead of returning it to me.
- Do you have international shipping available?
- Yes. Please direct message me on instagram @sunshine__vtg in order to discuss international shipping.
- I am not responsible for international shipping charges (which vary from $25-45 depending on country).
- I am also not responsible nor liable for any duty charges upon delivery of your package to your country.
- How do I clean my slitweave clothing?
- I recommend hand washing your piece in cold water with gentle detergent that does not have bleach or any harsh chemicals.
- Do not submerge your piece in water for a long period of time to preserve charms and accessories for as long as possible.
- Do NOT put your piece in the dryer. Hang to dry / Air dry.
- How does sizing work? Do you offer plus sizes? Tall girl friendly?
- In general, sizing for tops and bottoms is true to size due to the extremely stretchy material. Even though the pieces shrink a little bit with the weave, they have a lot of give and stretch.
- I recommend sizing up for jumpsuits, bodysuits, and rompers because these shrink a lot more with intricate weaving and braiding.
- Most of my jumpsuits and bottoms can fit up to about 6'1.

- In this email, please include your measurements for waist, hip, thigh, height, bra, and a recent photo of yourself that shows your shape. Also include which piece you are interested in.
- What are your measurements for size reference?
- With my measurements:
- I wear a size small in leggings, flare pants, shorts, crop tees, tank tops
- I wear a size medium for jumpsuits and rompers. I can fit into a small but it is slightly too tight for my liking.
- Height: 5'7
- Waist at belly button: 25.5 in
- Waist at hip bones: 32.5 in
- Hip at thickest part of booty: 36.5 in
- Thigh around thickest part of one leg: 20.5 in
- Upper bust: 31 in
- Lower bust: 29 in
- Bust at nipple: 33 in
- What material do you use for your pieces?
- I use a mix of cotton // spandex blends and polyester // spandex blends.
- Cotton pieces are fire safe.
- Can I resell my piece if it does not fit or after I wear it?
- There are tons of facebooks groups for festival // rave clothing resale where you can sell or trade your piece if you'd like!
- INFORMATION ABOUT FUNKY WIDE LEG PANTS
- These pants are handmade from 100% recycled materials and fabrics.
- These pants are sourced and I receive them as is.
- Some pairs have very small fabric paint stains or small sections where the recycled fabric has a tiny tear(s) in the fabric.
- These small things are not noticeable and do not take away from the pants in any way.
- I inspect each and every pair of pants extremely carefully prior to photographing them. Any flaws will be listed in the description and reflected in price.
- Please be mindful that I too am human and these pants are extremely colorful and funky.
- All flaws will be listed in the description but it is possible for me to overlook a very small tear in the fabric, stain, etc.
